Detroit radio station 98.7 AMP Radio also nominated Eminem for the challenge.
The challenge requires the willing participant to either have a bucket of icy water dumped on his/her head or make a donation to fight ALS within 24 hours.
If the person decides to go for the icy water dump, they have to shoot a video to prove it happened.
In some cases, those who have dumped the water on their heads, including numerous celebrities, have made donations for the cause anyway.
Those who participate in the challenge are then supposed to nominate others to get involved.
In addition to Eminem, Dr. Dre also nominated Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar to participate.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is defined as a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
The ALS Association, according to a press release, has received $31.5 million this year in donations compared to $1.9 million during the same time period last year (July 29 to August 18).
