headphones dre beats area officials can work together
I sincerely hope that Kroger reconsiders its decision to so quickly close one of the last remaining places for residents of the North Linden community and surrounding neighborhoods to purchase fresh produce and healthy options to feed their families.
Everyone agrees that Kroger should not be forced to keep it doors open and continue to operate at a loss out of the goodness of its heart. Since 2012, Kroger reports a loss of $3.6 million, which translates to a loss of about $600,000 per year if my math is correct. It is hard to argue against a monetary loss of that size for any company whose obligation is to shareholders.
At the same time Kroger reports that it posted $115 billion in sales in 2016. What this suggests to me is that, given time and working together,
we can find a solution to this situation.
Technically, the Kroger store in the Northern Lights Shopping Center is not located in the city of , but many, if not most, of its customers live in .
One thing that does better than anyone is facilitating public private partnerships. I am confident that Kroger can work with officials in Franklin County,
Clinton Township and the city of to find a solution that best fits the needs of our residents.
I urge Kroger to consider delaying the closing of this store so that we can work together as good neighbors to find a resolution. City Council president pro tem/wrapper >
